Following are UN Secretary-General António Guterres’ opening remarks to the 2019 ECOSOC [Economic and Social Council] Financing for Development Forum in New York today:
On 13 April 2019, the Security Council Committee pursuant to resolutions 1267 (1999), 1989 (2011) and 2253 (2015) concerning ISIL (Da’esh), Al-Qaida, and associated individuals, groups, undertakings and entities removed the entry below from its ISIL (Da’esh) and Al-Qaida Sanctions List. The entry was deleted after the Committee concluded its consideration of the delisting request for this name submitted by the designating State following the 2017 Annual Review conducted in accordance with paragraphs 80 and 81 of resolution 2253 (2015).
