SECURITY COUNCIL ESTABLISHES CIVILIAN POLICE MISSION IN HAITI
19971128The Security Council this morning established the United Nations Civilian Police Mission in Haiti (MIPONUH) which, for a single one-year period until 30 November 1998, will continue providing international support to the Haitian Government's efforts to professionalize the country's national police force.
