SECRETARY-GENERAL APPOINTS BRIGADIER REZAQUL HAIDER OF BANGLADESH AS CHIEF MILITARY LIAISON OFFICER OF UN MISSION IN EAST TIMOR

Secretary-General Kofi Annan has appointed Brigadier Rezaqul Haider of Bangladesh as Chief Military Liaison Officer of the United Nations Mission in East Timor (UNAMET). Brigadier Haider will assume the post shortly.
