$70 MILLION NEEDED FOR PALESTINE REFUGEES IN WEST BANK AND GAZA

AMMAN, 9 May (UNRWA) -- The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) has identified an extra $70 million to meet the emergency humanitarian needs of refugees in the West Bank and Gaza, created by the recent Israeli military incursions into the occupied Palestinian territory.

5,500 children die from diseases caused by consuming water and food polluted with bacteria, according to a new study released by three United Nations agencies.
