The Secretary-General was shocked and horrified to hear of last night’s car bomb attack in Bali, Indonesia, which killed at least 180 people and wounded scores of others.

The Security Council this morning decided to extend the deadline for nomination of judges for the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda until 15 November 2002.

SECURITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZES FINAL EXTENSION OF PREVLAKA PENINSULA MISSION;

WITHDRAWAL WILL BE COMPLETED BY END OF YEAR

The Security Council this morning authorized the United Nations Mission of Observers in Prevlaka (UNMOP) to continue monitoring the demilitarization of the Prevlaka Peninsula for a final period of two months, until 15 December.
