KYIV, 14 May –- The “Road Map” was a clear trade-off that hardly met the needs of Palestinians and Israelis, a representative of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, said this morning at the International Meeting in Support of Middle East Peace in Kyiv.

MYANMAR SPECIAL ENVOY TO VISIT YANGON 6-10 JUNE

The following statement was issued today by the Spokesman for Secretary-General Kofi Annan:

Razali Ismail, the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Myanmar, will visit Yangon from 6 to 10 June 2003.  It will be his tenth mission as Special Envoy.

SECURITY COUNCIL ESTABLISHES CÔTE D’IVOIRE MISSION FOR SIX MONTHS,

UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTING RESOLUTION 1479 (2003)

Determining that the situation in Côte d’Ivoire was a threat to international peace and security in the region, the Security Council today decided to establish a United Nations Mission in Côte d’Ivoire (MINUCI) for an initial period of six months.
