Global action to improve the health of women and children would be enhanced through a new programme to share ideas and successes among developing countries, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announced yesterday.
The Independent Audit Advisory Committee of the United Nations (IAAC) held its twenty-fifth session from 19 to 21 February. The session, held at United Nations Headquarters in New York, was presided over by the Chairman, J. Christopher Mihm.
Representatives of civil society, including non-governmental organizations, industry and academics will gather in New Delhi this week to help identify effective measures to prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction by terrorists and other non-State actors.
