The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Sadako Ogata, this afternoon said that the Alliance of Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Congo-Zaire had given UNHCR 60 days in which to repatriate the estimated 80,000 Rwandan refugees that recently disappeared from encampments south of Kisangani, Zaire.

At a Headquarters press conference Thursday afternoon, the American rock and roll band Grand Funk Railroad presented a mock check for $30,000 to the Permanent Representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina, representing the amount they raised for humanitarian relief in that country from a sold-out concert in Detroit.

Students preparing for a career in business, finance and government are to be challenged to take the "Sustainable Business Exam" on the Internet on 5 June, World Environment Day, correspondents were told at a Headquarters press briefing this morning.
