The number of politically motivated disappearances worldwide was at least three times greater than official United Nations figures, the Chairman of the United Nations Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances, Ivan Tosevski, said this afternoon at a press conference at Headquarters.

Connor, Under-Secretary for Administration and Management, told correspondents at a Headquarters press briefing yesterday afternoon, 21 May, that there had been no real change in the United Nations financial situation in the last two years and that the Organization continued to be on the edge financially.
