On 12 September 2017, the Security Council Committee pursuant to resolutions 1267 (1999), 1989 (2011) and 2253 (2015) concerning ISIL (Da’esh), Al‑Qaida and associated individuals, groups, undertakings and entities removed the name below from the ISIL (Da’esh) and Al-Qaida Sanctions List.

Extolling the virtues of a strong partnership between the United Nations and the African Union, members of the Security Council today suggested ways in which to further enhance peace and security operations and foster progress in advancing common goals.
On 8 September 2017, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1591 (2005) concerning the Sudan was briefed by the Coordinator and two members of the Panel of Experts on the Sudan in connection with the Panel’s first report, which was submitted in accordance with paragraph 2 of resolution 2340 (2017).
An estimated 370,000 Rohingya refugees have fled into Bangladesh since 25 August. A flight chartered by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees carrying emergency aid has landed in that country. A second flight, donated by the United Arab Emirates, was carrying 2,000 tents. The supplies will help 25,000 refugees.
