The International Meeting on the Question of Jerusalem, which opened in Ankara, Turkey, earlier today, continued its discussion on the status of Jerusalem under international law this afternoon.

The Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, jointly with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Government of the Republic of Turkey, will convene the International Meeting on the Question of Jerusalem on 12 and 13 May 2014 at the Sheraton Hotel and Convention Centre in Ankara.

The Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People will convene a United Nations Roundtable on Legal Aspects of the Question of Palestine on 24 and 25 April at the United Nations Office at Geneva.

The Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People will convene the United Nations International Meeting on the Question of Palestine in Quito, Ecuador, on 25 and 26 March, at Swissôtel Quito. The theme of the Meeting is “Engaging for peace — the International Year of Solidarity with the Palestinian People”.

The President of the United Nations General Assembly, John Ashe (Antigua and Barbuda), held an end-of-year press conference today at Headquarters in which he discussed highlights from the past year and outlined expected activities for 2014 and beyond, including the long-standing issue of Security Council reform.
