NAIROBI, 21 March (UNEP) -- Tomorrow, 22 March, marks the fifteenth anniversary of the adoption of the Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer. With the adoption of that Convention, the foundation was laid for concerted international efforts to protect the ozone layer.

NAIROBI/GENEVA, 6 March (UNEP) -- Three months after its adoption by governments, the Protocol on Liability and Compensation for Damage Resulting from the Transboundary Movement of Hazardous Wastes and their Disposal is being opened for signature today in the Swiss capital of Bern.
