EXPERT REVIEW OF REGISTER OF CONVENTIONAL ARMS AT HEADQUARTERS, 17-21 MARCH

NEW YORK, 17 March (Department for Disarmament Affairs) -- A group of governmental experts on the continuing operation and further development of the United Nations Register of Conventional Arms is holding its first meeting for the year from 17 to 21 March at United Nations Headquarters.  This is the fourth review of the Register; previous reviews were conducted in 1994, 1997 and 2000.

NEW YORK, 18 December (Department of Disarmament Affairs) -- A consultative meeting to promote the early realization of the Central Asian Nuclear-Weapon-Free Zone was held at Headquarters on 17 December 2002, sponsored by the Regional Centre for Peace and Disarmament in Asia and the Pacific of the Department for Disarmament Affairs.
