United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon arrived in Davos, Switzerland, shortly after noon on Thursday, 22 January, to attend the World Economic Forum.

On Wednesday, 14 January, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon flew from India to Tegucigalpa, Honduras, for an official visit to the country.

On Thursday, 15 January, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon flew from Copán Ruinas in Honduras to San Salvador, El Salvador, to attend the twenty-third anniversary of the peace agreements that put an end to civil war in the country.

Upon arrival in New Delhi from New York on Saturday, 10 January, United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon had a brief meeting at the airport with Rajendra Pachauri, the chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.  Mr. Pachauri briefed him about the on-going work of the Panel and on his planned activities in the months ahead.
