The following is the text of a statement to the press on the situation in Ethiopia and Eritrea by the President of the Security Council, Munir Akram (Pakistan):

SECURITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE ADDS FOUR INDIVIDUALS, CORRECTS SPELLING

OF NAMES IN AL-QAIDA SECTION OF CONSOLIDATED LIST

The Al-Qaida and Taliban Sanctions Committee on 3 May 2004 approved the addition of four individuals and on 30 April 2004 the correction of the spelling of two names in the Al-Qaida section of its consolidated list (the additions have been underlined in the entry below whereas the deletions appears as strikethrough text).
