On 17 January 2020, the Security Council Committee pursuant to resolution 751 (1992) concerning Somalia held its first informal consultations of the year to meet with the Panel of Experts on Somalia renewed by resolution 2498 (2019).
On 10 January 2020, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 2140 (2014) held informal consultations to consider the final report of the Panel of Experts, submitted in accordance with paragraph 6 of resolution 2456 (2019).

On 14 January 2020, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 2374 (2017) concerning Mali enacted the amendments specified with an underline in the entries below on its Sanctions List of individuals and entities subject to the travel ban set out in paragraphs 1 to 3 of Security Council resolution 2374 (2017), adopted under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations and as renewed in paragraph 1 of resolution 2484 (2019).
On 6 December 2019, the amendments specified with underline and strikethrough were enacted in the entries below on the ISIL (Da’esh) and Al-Qaida Sanctions List of individuals and entities subject to the assets freeze, travel ban and arms embargo set out in paragraph 1 of Security Council resolution 2368 (2017), and adopted under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations.
