SECRETARY-GENERAL WELCOMES SIGNING OF WATER-SHARING TREATY BETWEEN INDIA AND BANGLADESH

The Secretary-General warmly welcomes the conclusion of the bilateral treaty between the Governments of India and Bangladesh on the sharing of the Ganga/Ganges waters at Farakka, in New Delhi on 12 December.
