Following is UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s message for the International Day of Peace observed 21 September:

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon arrived in Bridgetown, Barbados on Thursday, 2 August, for an official visit to the island nation holding the current chairmanship of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), the Caribbean regional organization.
