United Nations Secretary‑General António Guterres today announced the appointment of Major General José Eladio Alcaín of Uruguay as Head of Mission and Chief Military Observer for the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP).

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres announced today the appointment of Stephanie T. Williams of the United States as his Deputy Special Representative for Political Affairs in Libya, United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL).

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres arrived in Oslo from Helsinki, Finland, on Monday, 18 June, at night.

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres arrived in Helsinki from New York on Monday, 18 June.  In the morning, he attended the second meeting of his High-Level Advisory Board on Mediation.  He then took part in the Kultaranta Talks, an annual debate on foreign and security policy.  He also met with President Sauli Niinistö of Finland.
