IVO PETROV APPOINTED SPECIAL REPRESENTATIVE OF SECRETARY-GENERAL FOR TAJIKISTAN
19990921Secretary-General Kofi Annan announced today the appointment of Ambassador Ivo Petrov of Bulgaria with effect from 20 September 1999, to succeed Jan Kubis as Special Representative for Tajikistan. Mr. Kubis relinquished his post on 21 June 1999 to become Secretary-General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
