SECRETARY-GENERAL CALLS FOR URGENT ACTION TO BRIDGE DIGITAL DIVIDE

IN MESSAGE FOR WORLD TELECOMMUNICATION DAY

The following is the message of Secretary-General Kofi Annanfor World Telecommunication Day, which will be observed on 17 May:

      The theme of this year’s observance of World Telecommunication Day is “ICT for all:  empowering people to cross the digital divide”.
