NEW YORK, 12 October (Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea) — The Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf will hold its forty-eighth session from 15 October to 30 November. There will be no plenary part during the session and its seven weeks will be devoted entirely to the technical examination of submissions at the geographic information systems laboratories and other technical facilities of the Division.

On 31 August 2018, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 2048 (2012) concerning Guinea-Bissau held informal consultations to consider the Secretary-General’s report on progress made with regards to stabilization and restoration of constitutional order in Guinea-Bissau, submitted pursuant paragraph 28 of resolution 2404 (2018).
On 10 August 2018, the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 2140 (2014) held informal consultations to consider a case study on attacks on commercial vessels in the Red Sea submitted by the Panel of Experts on Yemen.
