NEW PERMANENT REPRESENTATIVE OF QATAR PRESENTS CREDENTIALS

19961211 Biographical Note

Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the new Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations, presented his credentials today to Secretary-General Boutros Boutros-Ghali.

Prior to his appointment, Mr. Khalifa served as Qatar's Ambassador to Italy, from 1994 to 1996, and as Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, from 1991 to 1993.
