The Day of Solidarity with Detained Staff Members will be observed at Headquarters on 25 March, with a short ceremony held at 12:30 p.m. in the United Nations Correspondents Association (UNCA) Club on the third floor of the Secretariat.

VIENNA, 20 March (UN Information Service) -- One of the most challenging problems facing delegates to the Commission on Narcotic Drugs, which is meeting here through 27 March, is how to combat the alarming spread of abuse of amphetamine-type stimulants such as "ecstasy" and "speed".
