GENEVA, 30 September (UN Information Service) -- The Governing Council of the United Nations Compensation Commission concluded its thirty-third session today under the Presidency of Hans J. Heinemann (Netherlands). Representatives of Kuwait and Iraq addressed the 15-member Governing Council at its opening plenary meeting.
Syria's Foreign Minister, Farouk Al-Shara, told the General Assembly this morning that the Israeli Foreign Minister had carried the flag of the culture of peace in his statement yesterday, while fully ignoring the fact that the Israeli occupation was the main reason for the absence of peace.
