PIERRE LELONG OF HAITI ELECTED CHAIRMAN OF SIXTH COMMITTEE


Haiti’s Permanent Representative, Ambassador Pierre Lelong, has been elected Chairman of the Sixth Committee (Legal) for the fifty-sixth session of the General Assembly.


Mr. Lelong has been serving as his country’s Permanent Representative at the United Nations since 1996.  From 1991 to 1995, he was Haiti’s Ambassador to Mexico.
