NAIROBI, 30 June (UNEP) -- Representatives of the Brazilian Government and other dignitaries joined the United Nations family today at its headquarters here in Nairobi, to participate in the launch of the Sergio Vieira de Mello Library.
On his arrival in Doha on Tuesday, 29 June, Secretary-General Kofi Annan was stopped by the press with questions on Iraq.

ORLANDO, FLORIDA, 30 June (FAO) -- Trees grown on farms could help to alleviate poverty by providing income and food for poor farmers, whose livelihoods are increasingly threatened by harsh environmental conditions and land degradation, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) said today.
