United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres appointed Catherine Weibel of France as Director of the United Nations Information Centre in Islamabad, Pakistan.

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres appointed Sheri Ritsema-Anderson of the United States as the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Jordan, with the host Government’s approval.

At least 32 United Nations peacekeeping personnel — 28 military and four police, including one woman police officer — were killed in deliberate attacks in 2022, the United Nations Staff Union said today.
