CORRECTION
On page 9 of Press Release GA/8957 of 17 October, the fifth sentence of the fourth paragraph should read as follows:
The United Nations system had agreed last week on a process for strengthening its commitment to the goals established at the 1995 World Social Summit in Copenhagen, the Third Committee (Social Humanitarian and Cultural) was told this afternoon, as it continued its discussion of social development questions.
