This afternoon, the fifty-sixth regular session of the General Assembly, among other things, elected its 21 Vice-Presidents.  The Assembly was also informed about the election of its Main Committees’ Chairpersons.

HASMY AGAM OF MALAYSIA ELECTED CHAIRMAN OF FOURTH COMMITTEE

Hasmy Agam, the Permanent Representative of Malaysia to the United Nations, was elected Chairman of the General Assembly's Fourth Committee (Special Political and Decolonization) this afternoon.
