The Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, with the agreement of the Government of Cyprus, will convene the United Nations International Meeting in Support of Israeli-Palestinian Peace on 6 and 7 May at the Hilton Park Hotel in Nicosia. Mandated by the United Nations General Assembly, the theme of the Meeting is “Action by European, Arab and other parliamentarians and their umbrella organizations for Israeli-Palestinian peace”.

Resuming its comprehensive review of peacekeeping operations in all its aspects, the Fourth Committee (Special Political and Decolonization Committee) approved this morning a draft resolution by which the General Assembly would endorse the proposals, recommendations and conclusions of the Special Committee on Peacekeeping Operations contained in a report adopted during that body’s last session, from 23 February to 20 March.
