United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announced today the designation of Jorge Chediek of Argentina as his Envoy on South-South Cooperation.

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon today announced the appointment of Pernille Dahler Kardel of Denmark as his Deputy Special Representative (Political) for the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA).  Ms. Kardel will succeed Tadamichi Yamamoto of Japan, who the Secretary-General has appointed as his new Special Representative for Afghanistan and Head of UNAMA.

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon announced today the appointment of Nicholas Haysom of South Africa as his Special Envoy for Sudan and South Sudan.  He will succeed Haile Menkerios of South Africa, to whom the Secretary-General is grateful for his dedication and commitment.
