Expert Panel Briefs Security Council Sanctions Committee concerning Central African Republic on Midterm Report, Workplan Pursuant to Resolution 2693 (2023)

On 1 February 2024, the Coordinator briefed the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 2127 (2013) concerning the Central African Republic on the Panel’s midterm report submitted in pursuance of paragraph 7 of resolution 2693 (2023).

During the briefing, the Coordinator provided an overview of the Panel’s tentative workplan for the remainder of its mandate ending on 31 August 2024, including planned visits to the Central African Republic and the region.

Members of the Committee welcomed the holding of the briefing which marked the first meeting with the Panel since is extension by resolution 2693 (2023).
