Security Council Sanctions Committee Concerning Democratic Republic of Congo Meets with Group of Experts

On 15 September 2022, members of the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1533 (2004) concerning the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) were briefed by the Coordinator of the Group of Experts on the DRC in connection with the Group’s workplan for its mandate in pursuance of resolution 2641 (2022) of 30 June 2022.

Members of the Committee welcomed the appointment on 24 August 2022 (S/2022/641) of five members of the Group and looked forward to the appointment of the sixth expert.  Delegations welcomed the Coordinator’s briefing and looked forward to receiving the Group’s midterm and final reports as well as its monthly updates.
