Activities of Secretary-General in Washington, D.C., 23-24 October

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres arrived on Tuesday, 23 October, in Washington, D.C.  He met with United States Secretary of State Michael Pompeo to discuss the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the path towards denuclearization, and the ongoing humanitarian crises in Yemen and Syria.

He also met with Congressional staff members to discuss the United Nations financial picture.

The Secretary-General returned to New York the following day.
