New Permanent Representative of Zimbabwe Presents Credentials

The new Permanent Representative of Zimbabwe to the United Nations, Chitsaka Chipaziwa, presented his credentials today to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
Since 2003, Mr. Chipaziwa has served as Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations and other international organizations, in Geneva, Switzerland. From 1996 to 2003, he served as Ambassador to Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Cambodia and Viet Nam. For two years prior to that appointment, he was the Deputy Head of Mission in Pretoria, South Africa.
Mr. Chipaziwa holds an undergraduate degree from George Washington University, United States. He pursued graduate work in international relations, development studies and business at McGill University and Carleton University, in Canada, as well as at the University of South Australia.
Born in 1953, Mr. Chipaziwa is married and has three children.
