No Cause Can Justify Inhuman, Indiscriminate Violence, says Secretary-General,

Strongly Condemning Deadly Bomb Attack at Market in Peshawar, Pakistan

 

The following statement by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon was issued today:

I condemn, in the strongest possible terms, today’s bomb attack at a market in Peshawar, Pakistan, which reportedly killed over 80 people, many of them women, and injured over 160 people.  No cause can justify such inhuman and indiscriminate violence.  I wish to extend my sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and the Government of Pakistan, and wish those injured a full recovery.
