The following statement was issued today by the Spokesman for Secretary-General Kofi Annan:


The Secretary-General utterly condemns the terrorist bomb attacks today in Mumbai, India, killing more than 40 innocent civilians and injuring many more.  He is adamantly opposed to all acts of terrorism, from whatever quarter.
