Following is UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon’s message for the International Day for the Right to the Truth Concerning Gross Human Rights Violations and for the Dignity of Victims, observed today:
United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, accompanied by Madam Ban Soon-taek, arrived in Tokyo in the afternoon of Friday, 13 March. They then flew to the city of Sendai, in the north of Japan, arriving on the same evening.
On 23 March 2015, the Security Council Committee pursuant to resolutions 1267 (1999) and 1989 (2011) approved the addition of the entry specified below to its Al-Qaida Sanctions List of individuals and entities subject to the assets freeze, travel ban and arms embargo set out in paragraph 1 of Security Council resolution 2161 (2014) adopted under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations.
