BOLIVIA'S REPORT INTRODUCED IN HUMAN RIGHTS COMMITTEE

The Government of Bolivia was making every effort to strengthen human rights, gender equality and improve the conditions of its indigenous population, an official of the Government told the Human Rights Committee this morning, as it began consideration of Bolivia's compliance with the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

NEW YORK, 24 March (DESIPA) -- World economic growth is expected to pick up modestly this year and continue to strengthen over the next few years, according to forecasts discussed at a meeting of the Ad Hoc Expert Group on the Short- and Medium-term Prospects of the World Economy (Project LINK) that began this morning at United Nations Headquarters.
