GENEVA, 22 July (UN Information Service) -- The Working Group on Indigenous Populations will hold its sixteenth annual session from 27 to 31 July and will focus this year on issues related to indigenous education and language.
The mainstreaming of human rights in the work of the United Nations system could result in the overlapping of mandates, the representative of Malaysia told the Economic and Social Council this morning, as it concluded consideration of follow-up to the 1993 World Conference on Human Rights.
