Donor countries pledged $38.5 million for the 2001 regular budget of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), as well as $22 million for an emergency appeal launched 8 November, as the General Assemblys Ad Hoc Committee for Voluntary Contributions to UNRWA met this morning.
