SECURITY COUNCIL STATES DETERMINATION TO INTENSIFY EFFORTS

TO IMPLEMENT SEPTEMBER 2000 SUMMIT COMMITMENTS


The Security Council this morning expressed its determination to intensify efforts to translate the September 2000 Council Summit commitments into practical results, to ensure it plays an effective role in the maintenance of international peace and security, especially in Africa.
