PALESTINIAN JOURNALISTS TAKE PART IN DPI TRAINING PROGRAMME
For the sixth consecutive year, the United Nations Department of Public Information is hosting a training programme for Palestinian media practitioners, which is taking place at United Nations Headquarters from 22 October to 14 December. A total of 9 Palestinian broadcasters and journalists are participating in the 2001 programme.
Although the 1990 World Summit on Children had unquestionably improved the situation of the world's children in many areas, there were still too many children in the world suffering needlessly from a variety of scourges, including armed conflict and exploitation, several speakers told the Third Committee (Humanitarian, Social, Cultural) this afternoon.
