UNFPA EXPRESSES REGRET AT UNITED STATES DECISION NOT TO GRANT IT FUNDING


NEW YORK, 22 July (UNFPA) -- The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) today said a decision by President Bush not to grant it the $34 million appropriated by Congress for 2002 will cost thousands of women and children their lives.
