KINGSTON, 25 May (International Seabed Authority) -- The achievements of the International Seabed Authority were reviewed this afternoon in Kingston, in the first of two panel discussions organized by the Authority as part of its tenth anniversary celebrations, which began Tuesday morning.

ASSEMBLY AND COUNCIL ELECT PRESIDENTS, ADOPT AGENDAS

KINGSTON, 24 May -- The International Seabed Authority formally began its tenth session in Kingston today, 24 May, with its policy-making Assembly and Executive Council adopting their agendas and electing their Presidents for the session scheduled to conclude on 4 June.

In a special meeting this morning, the States Parties to the Convention on the Law of the Sea elected Anthony Amos Lucky (Trinidad and Tobago) to the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea.
