MEDIA LOGISTICS GUIDE


The United Nations World Summit on Sustainable Development (WSSD) will be held from 26 August to 4 September 2002 at the Sandton Convention Centre (SCC), which is approximately 45 minutes from the Johannesburg International Airport by car, and 20 minutes from the centre of Johannesburg.

HEADQUARTERS ROUND TABLE TO DISCUSS BRIDGING DIGITAL DIVIDE IN AFRICA


A round-table discussion being held at the United Nations today will bring together leaders from technology corporations, foundations and non-profit organizations to consider how to effectively engage in service to Africa.  The event will take place in Conference Room 1 at Headquarters from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

SUMMIT ON STAFF SECURITY TO BE HELD AT HEADQUARTERS, 11 JUNE


To address the security problems faced by United Nations and associated personnel around the world, the fifth annual Summit on Staff Security will take place on Tuesday, 11 June, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Trusteeship Council Chamber at Headquarters.
