The Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations today recommended eight non-governmental organizations (NGOs) for consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and deferred seven applications.  Pending issuance of the relevant documents, it recommended ad referendum consultative status for three NGOs.
