United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon arrived in Port-of-Spain from New York on Friday evening, 17 April, to attend the Fifth Summit of the Americas, held this year in the Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago.

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon travelled to Washington, D.C., on Monday afternoon, 13 April, to attend the Haiti Donor’s Conference.  Earlier that day, he met in New York with Michèle Pierre-Louis, Haiti’s Prime Minister, and members of her Cabinet.

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon arrived in Vientiane, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, from New York in the evening of Friday, 10 April, on an official visit that reinforced cooperation between that country and the United Nations.

On Friday, 3 April, United Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Madame Ban Soon-taek arrived in Paris, France, where the Secretary-General’s primary purpose was to chair a gathering of the United Nations System Chief Executives Board for Coordination.

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Madam Ban Soon-Taek arrived in London, United Kingdom, from The Hague, Netherlands, on Wednesday, 1 April, for the Group of 20 (G-20) Summit.  He was greeted at the airport by Baroness Royall of Blaisdon, Representative of the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs.

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Madame Ban Soon-taek arrived in the Netherlands during the evening of Monday, 30 March, from Doha, Qatar, where the Secretary-General had addressed the League of Arab States Summit.

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon arrived in Doha, Qatar, from Moscow, Russian Federation, on the evening of Saturday, 28 March.  He was greeted by Madam Ban Soon-taek, who had arrived before him, directly from New York.
