SECURITY COUNCIL ADOPTS PRESIDENTIAL STATEMENT WELCOMING AGREEMENT


BETWEEN PARTIES IN SUDAN CIVIL CONFLICT


The Security Council this afternoon welcomed the agreements on security arrangements between the Government of the Sudan and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement/Army, reached at Naivasha, Kenya, in September 2003.

IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECURITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION 1455 (2003)


The Chairman of the Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1267 (1999) concerning Al-Qaida and the Taliban and associated individuals and entities will begin today a visit to selected countries in Asia, Europe and the Middle East.
